AIC will host a series of critical conversations as the first step toward breaking down the systems of structural violence within our community by empowering our members to present and share space to tell their own stories and first hand experiences. Sharing stories, perspectives and experinces is an essential step toward healing by making the invisible visible. Once we begin to examine and address our individual experiences with structural violence and racism, we can then begin to implement collective healing practices.
As part of our healing process we are looking for an artist that can create art pieces based on the each AIC hosted cirtical conversation topic. At the end of the year, these art pieces will be used to create an exhibit on community healing that will be displayed in our First Voice Gallery, housed at the AIC.
All Submission due by January 4th
